our philosophy

The quality starts with the choice of wood supplier. Nothing but the very best balsa and basswood is chosen for our airfoils. Truly hand selected and inspected, each piece of balsa and basswood is reinspected through every step of our manufacturing process, all the way up to caving the airfoil.

We manufacture our airfoils on custom designed and built equipment. It’s the only way we can hold the extreme tolerances that we do. As such, we maintain the profile accuracy of our airfoils to within .004" [0.10mm] all around, along the entire length, and from one blank to the next.

From the choice of wood supplier, to the cutting tools, the carving machine, and the multiple inspections of every piece of wood, it’s how we can produce the finest balsa and bass airfoils available anywhere.
