HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE
Back in April of 2003 an Autogiro conference was held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. Several Autogiro authorities spoke, including the nephew of Juan de la Cierva, who compared the lives of his father and Harold Pitcairn.

FROM AUTOGIRO TO GYROPLANE
Here's a link to a great book written by Bruce Charnov that was published on 7/30/2003. In his book entitled From Autogiro to Gyroplane by the Greenwood Press, Charnov lays out the history of Autogiros from their creation in Spain through the 400mph Carter Copter.

THE WINDMILL PLANE
A great book on the subject: Autogiro: The Story of "the Windmill Plane" (ISBN: 0816829004), Townson, George, 1985. I have this book and it’s a good one. There might be copies for sale via the link above.

SPANISH SITE FOR GYROCOPTER INFO
